Cross country

This afternoon we had cross country and I came 1st place.

Cross Country Practice

My heart is pounding like a Elephant stomping
 Whiz Zoom!I over take 3 people
I am a Cheetah running free in the Jungle
Huff Puff! I slow down whoosh I am sprinting again
I have butterflies in my stomach
I sprint over the finish line it was faster then I thought.

There is a monster under my bed

Me, Niall and Naroa worked togther on google docs and put our ideas toghter.

What is that? Swooping through the air

It is white it is hazy white

It is a paper plane darting through the air

twirling whirling circling and swirling through the cloudy morning air

twirling and twirling like a leaf falling of a tree on a sunny Autumn day

spinning in a freezing whirl pool

I got a 100 percent 4 times in a row on Halves and quarters. 

Matariki Art.

Today we made some Matariki pictures.
First we traced some stars then colored them in and put glitter on then glued it to black paper and added little stars.

Matariki has seven sisters which are the Matariki stars.

What I liked about the book was all the funny bits. For example What if we get hurt? What If Blow up? What if we go to jail? What If we meet Pirates? What If my beard was made of green Spinach.

I did not like how the writings so small.

Room 7's Assembly 2014

 This video has got all the highlights of our assembly in it.
My favourite part of  the assembly was making my mask and sharing it.

Maths

Mask Reflection

I made a mask to represent myself.
I like animals so I put rainbow paw prints on.
I also put whiskers and cat ears on to show I like cats.
The hard part was making my ears I first had to cut four triangles out of really hard cardboard then I rolled up 2 pieces of paper and used double sided sticky tape to join them to the cardboard then I used paper, salatape and pva glue to paper mache.
Then I painted them.
I did soccer balls because I like soccer.

Maths

At maths time we are practising our 6 times tables and the divided by 6 facts and are practising our 2,3 and 4 digit times tables.
Here is an example:

5 x 26 = 130
5 x 20 =100
5 x 6 = 30

3 x 124 = 372
3 x 100 = 300
3 x 20 = 60
3 x 4 = 12
